PRINCE William and Kate Middleton may be the picture of elegance in public, but they do have some very sweet and affectionate nicknames for each other. The royal couple - who share Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - are celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary this month, after meeting at university. Royal editor Ingrid Seward told The Sun’s Royal Show that the Prince and Princess of Wales have some rather informal pet names for one another. Speaking to The Sun’s Royal Correspondent Matt Wilkinson, she said: “Prince William was Big Willie, I think. “Kate was Babykins, But people change their nicknames every time.” Ingrid added that King Charles often refers to Queen Camilla as “darling” or “beloved.” She added: “It's really nice when he says ‘my beloved wife’, as he used to say with the Queen, ‘my beloved mother.’” Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who often show displays of affection during public outings, also have some sweet names for one another. Ingrid added: “We know that Harry is ‘H’, and we know that Meghan is ‘Meg’, but there could be lots of other things.” Meghan also has an unusual collection of family nicknames, being called “Flower” by her mum, “Bean” by her dad and is called “Tungsten” by Charles because she's tough. The Queen was always known as “Lilibet” because she couldn’t say her name Elizabeth when she was young, and the name was used as inspiration for Meghan and Harry's daughter Lilibet. The royal expert praised Prince William and Kate for having a “great relationship”, with the future king supporting his wife. For example, the ultra-fast fashion brand Shein has skyrocketed in value over the past five years largely due to their marketing success on TikTok. A lot of us know that fast fashion is bad, but the only way companies like Shein still thrive is if we convince ourselves otherwise and hit “add to cart” anyway. So why do we do it? The answer is that e-commerce has completely warped our view of what items should cost and how long they should last (this includes and extends to our obsession with Amazon and two-day shipping). We’re moving through trends at an unprecedented pace and it’s doomed to get worse if we don’t adjust our buying habits and learn to slow down. Consumers are being manipulated, but we can do better. Authorities in Russia are warning people to evacuate affected areas as Russia’s Kurgan and Tyumen regions and swaths of northern Kazakhstan are flooded. Tens of thousands have already abandoned their homes. Russia and neighbouring Kazakhstan have been grappling with some of the worst flooding in living memory after very large snowfalls melted swiftly amid heavy rain over land which was already waterlogged before winter.
