Singapore's men's water polo team was defeated 26-6 by Paris Olympics bronze medallists United States in their final Group C match at the World Aquatics Championships. It's the third straight defeat for Singapore, ranked 38th in the world. Team Singapore will head into the 13th-16th classification matches next. Nadine Yeam reports.

Security at the various competition sites of the World Aquatics Championships is being ramped up, with large crowds expected in the coming weeks. Local organisers have put in place a suite of measures, while the police will step up patrols around the venues. Organisers expect around 40,000 visitors to attend the World Aquatics Championships and World Aquatics Masters Championships, with tourism receipts projected to hit S$60 million.
