Three people are dead and six were injured in a shooting Tuesday at Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan, authorities said.The three killed are believed to be students, Oakland County Undersheriff Michael G. McCabe said at a news conference. One of those shot is believed to be a teacher.The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old, who is a sophomore at the high school, McCabe said.
Several people wounded in shooting at Michigan high school
A suspected gunman was taken into custody following a shooting at a Michigan high school Tuesday.
Authorities responded to reports of active shooting at Oxford High School at 12:55 p.m, according to local media reports.
The shooter was detained at the scene, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.
Between four to six people were injured in the shooting. It is unclear if the victims were shot or suffered other injuries in the ordeal.
There are currently no fatalities, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities are currently sweeping the school for any additional victims.
