Slidell Police Department said that Sgt Jeff Kahrs was notified on November 1 of \u201ca shoplifting in progress\u201d. He approached the suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Kelsey Baird, who ran out of the store. Bodycam footage released by police shows Kahrs chasing Baird through the parking lot, and Baird\u2019s accomplice, 43-year-old Eric Boudreaux, honking his horn to indicate his location.
