Video: Singapore, Philippines to raise bilateral collaborations to next level: Vivian Balakrishnan

Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan has said that Singapore and the Philippines are exploring ways to raise bilateral collaborations to the next level. Speaking to local state-owned firms during his visit to the Philippines, Dr Balakrishnan said he is excited by the Philippines' vision of New Clark City and is glad to see how Singapore has contributed to it. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has set aside S$35 million to support those looking to pick up skills in sustainable finance. The suite of courses in this field will be expanded. This is to upgrade the country's financial services sector to meet growing demand in the region. A study co-commissioned by MAS revealed that more than 50,000 professionals will have sustainability-related tasks added to their job scope. Sabrina Ng reports.
