The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh completed an eventful week during their official visit to Japan. Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie attended the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The royal couple enjoyed a tour of the UK and Japan Pavilions, where they met young innovators and highlighted the important role of UK-Japan collaboration in advancing clean energy and future technology. Beyond the Expo, the Duke and Duchess’ trip to Japan featured many memorable encounters including attending a private meeting with the Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino.
