Both countries will develop a cooperation framework in new areas like the digital economy. Video: MAS keeps monetary policy unchanged

Singapore's central bank is keeping its monetary policy unchanged. This is the fourth time in a row that the policy was kept steady amid inflation risks. The Monetary Authority of Singapore's (MAS) move is in line with analyst expectations. This means the current rate of appreciation of the Singapore dollar will be maintained. MAS said this will ensure medium-term price stability.

Singapore's economy grew 2.7 per cent on-year in the first quarter of this year. This is lower than the three per cent forecast by economists in a Bloomberg survey. The services sector was among the main growth drivers, thanks to more tourist arrivals.
