King Charles has become patron of the Royal British Legion, the UK’s leading armed forces charity. It follows a major review of royal patronages, the first of its kind since Queen Elizabeth II’s death in 2022. More than 1,000 patronages were earmarked for review, and the full results will be revealed in the coming week. The Royal British Legion are thrilled to welcome the King. A RUSSIAN convict soldier allegedly shot dead six of his own comrades including his commander before fleeing. A major manhunt is now underway for Junior Sergeant Yuri Galushko, 57, as the Kremlin fears he may be attempting to surrender to Ukraine. Galushko reportedly shot his fellow troops in the heart and chest at close range as they slept yesterday in a a killing spree that has sent shockwaves through the Russian military. He is said to have belonged to the howitzer artillery battalion of the 10th Tank Regiment who were positioned in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region in Ukraine's southeast. Galushko fled with his AK-12 Kalashnikov gas-operated assault rifle. There has been increased scrutiny of Central Asian migrant workers following a deadly terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall near Moscow on Mar 22. Several suspects who were arrested over the killings are from Tajikistan. The country says hundreds of its citizens have been denied entry to Russia in recent weeks, but with Russia facing a labour shortage, it cannot afford to alienate its migrant workforce.
