French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu has resigned after just 26 days in office, making him the fifth French premier in under two years. The Elysee Palace made the announcement after Mr Lecornu met with President Emmanuel Macron. MPs had threatened to vote down Mr Lecornu's Cabinet, which was largely unchanged from his predecessor Francois Bayrou's. Mr Lecornu said the lack of support from parliament meant that he would not be able to do his job. Ross Cullen reports from Paris.

Chinese communities around the world are celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. In Hong Kong, a small neighbourhood is coming alive by marking the festival with a unique fire dragon dance. Preparation for the festival started two months ago, with participants taking time off to craft the 67-metre dragon, which is made of more than 10,000 burning incense sticks. The tradition has been thriving in the Tai Hang neighbourhood for over 140 years to commemorate the triumph over a plague that broke out in the community.
