Three people suffered minor injuries when a white Mercedes from a wedding convoy collided with a Moroccan embassy vehicle in Berlin-Mitte on Saturday. The driver of the white Mercedes fled the scene. Witnesses confirmed to LiveTube that the car belonged to the wedding party.
The collision happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Wilhelmstraße near the Brandenburg Gate. According to police, the white Mercedes entered an intersection against a red light. It collided with the embassy vehicle, whose 31-year-old driver had a green light.

The impact sent the white Mercedes across the road and into a parked vehicle. It also struck a 27-year-old pedestrian, who suffered minor injuries.

Injured passenger remained in the car
The driver of the white Mercedes fled immediately after the collision. His 18-year-old passenger remained in the vehicle and sustained a hand injury. The embassy driver suffered bruising to his leg and abrasions, according to police.

Two of the three injured people received hospital treatment and were subsequently discharged. Police know the identity of the white Mercedes’ registered owner. Police are investigating suspected dangerous interference with road traffic, according to B.Z.
Witnesses confirm wedding convoy connection
Witnesses told LiveTube that the white Mercedes was part of a wedding convoy. They said a ribbons attached to the car’s both wing mirrors also identified it as one of the convoy’s vehicles.
Photographs from the scene show a bride beside the damaged car. According to police, she was not inside the vehicle when it crashed, as BILD reported.
