About LiveTube
Where truth goes live.
LiveTube was built by journalists, engineers, and advocates of press freedom who saw a broken news system and set out to build something better. Together with our eyewitnesses on location, we are redefining what it means to report the truth.
Fake news travels at machine speed, and the classic skills journalists are trained in can no longer keep pace on their own. Newsrooms need the same modern tools that fake news exploits. That is LiveTube. An eyewitness goes live. AI verifies the stream in seconds. Editors approve it. The strongest reports go on air, and the eyewitness is paid as a reporter.
LiveTube is not social media. It is journalism infrastructure: a structured news operation with professional editorial oversight and verification before broadcast, not after. It is built on the oldest rule in journalism: report only what you can verify.
Read how it all began, discover what drives us, and find out why we believe news can only be verified live.

Why LiveTube Is Different
People-powered reporting, newsroom standards, real-time AI.
One live stream, three forces working it at the same time,
and standards holding it all together.

You, the eyewitness
Be first on the scene. Go live from your phone, describe what you see, and keep filming.
Our newsroom
A producer takes your stream within moments, guides you live, upholds the LiveTube Rules, and adds context as the story develops.
Our technology
While you film, AI matches your video, on-scene photo, description, and device signals against independent real-time data: flight trackers, seismic networks, weather feeds, local reports.
The broadcast
The strongest stories go on air worldwide, and media houses take them straight into their own programs through the LiveTube MediaHub.

The app shows your base and per-minute rate, plus any bonuses, before you go live. Watch earnings grow in real time during the stream.
Dynamic Pay
Rates update by newsworthiness, demand, location, and timing, including Special Pay opportunities for high-value stories. Bonus alerts and location-based offers appear directly in the LiveTube app.
Simple payout
After approval, we pay via PayPal, to the email you registered with LiveTube. Processing is usually quick, allow up to 72 hours for approval and fraud checks; we aim to pay faster.

Built Quietly. Ready To Scale.
Why we took our time.
We spent nearly a decade building and testing LiveTube away from the spotlight, not chasing vanity metrics, but solving the hard problems most platforms ignore: safety, verification, editorial control, and meaningful monetization for contributors. The world does not need more noise, it needs truth: live, unfiltered, authentic. Footage like that has value, so it was clear from day one that the eyewitnesses who film it get paid fairly for it. A live system with dynamic, real-time pricing for news did not exist. We built it.
What it required
Verifying live video in the AI age takes more than a stream. We designed source-proof capture (your video, an on-scene photo, a written location and description, and device signals), built real-time data fusion to confirm what is happening, and added editorial controls that protect both reporters and audiences. Editors approve every stream before it goes on air, and broadcast runs on a 30-second safety delay: if something harmful or sensitive comes into view, an emergency overlay shields it from viewers while the producer guides the reporter, and the stream returns the moment it is safe. In serious cases, we stop the broadcast entirely.
People, newsroom, tech
While many platforms have scaled back verification in favor of unmoderated speed, we keep investing in producers who verify stories, backed by a strong tech team and experienced journalists. When anyone can go live, newsrooms need to trust it, and creators need to earn from it.
A newsroom in the cloud
When a stream passes its first AI checks, available producers worldwide get an alert. The first to accept becomes the Story Producer, guiding the reporter, verifying the stream, and adding context before it goes to air. Time Zone Producers lead each shift, keep coverage running around the clock, and escalate across time zones for major events. The result is not just crowdsourced footage. It is a crowdsourced newsroom.
Open to the world
Every part of this system has already run under real conditions, operated by our own newsroom. Now we are opening it up, global from day one. Eyewitnesses everywhere can go live and report. Media houses take verified footage through the LiveTube MediaHub, and when a story needs coverage, they can alert our newsroom and we work to get a reporter live on the scene. The next big story can start on anyone’s phone. Maybe yours.
