Career

Jan has spent 20+ years in broadcast journalism and content production across radio, television, and digital platforms. He has worked in front of and behind the camera at RTL, ProSieben, Sat.1, Sky, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Antenne Bayern, and Hessischer Rundfunk. At Radio Gong 96.3 in Munich, he established himself as one of the city’s leading radio personalities. He then hosted the morning show at Energy München, where his programme became the market leader in Munich immediately.

Advisory Role at LiveTube

In 2011, he moved to Radio 95.5 Charivari as Programme Director and morning show host, where “Die Herold Show” again became Munich’s most successful morning programme and won the 2014 BLM Radio Prize from the Bavarian State Centre for New Media for best moderation. In 2021, he launched munich.fm, an independent web radio and media production company specializing in corporate podcasts and video content for platforms including Spotify and YouTube. He also lectures at IU International University of Applied Sciences as well as the FFH Academy and leads media training seminars for clients including Strategy&, PwC, Volkswagen, SAP, and Red Bull. For LiveTube, Jan brings the daily reality of content production, editorial workflows, talent management, and audience engagement.
